thought: the light of the sun has always fascinated me in a way that words cannot express properly. It always seemed to me that whenever the light changes its colour and intensity throughout the day then it changes the nature itself of the objects and landscapes it touches. The same applies to feelings, and/or to thoughts. "in luce" means "in light".
matter: synthesizers are heavily used here, not sequenced but directly played, often filtered by different banks of digital effects. Field recordings and some sample complete this release. Digital editing is kept to a minimum and consisted basically in mixing together the tracks I recorded one after another.
history: this album was released in 2003 by the (now inactive) label s'agita recordings (www.discogs.com/label/S%27agita+Recordings), run by Paolo Ippoliti and Laura Lovreglio of Logoplasm. I believe very few copies are still around or maybe no copies at all.
now: this album is available again through bandcamp in its completeness.
"...pure cosmic ambient for creatures of earth and breath. Vertigos of light (and Schulze's "Irrlicht" is the closest work I can think of as a paragon) and passages of shadows - never completely detached in the moments of ecstasy, nor desolate in the dark ones. And never static, turbulent in its suspension, in continuous mutation - to describe one single track would be like trying to pin down a cloud.
